Sleep totals
AASM pediatric sleep-duration consensus supplies recommendation bands from four months. The AAP describes newborn variability. See the linked register below for the exact source versions.
Typical day structure
Huckleberry’s age chart and individual schedules provide consultant examples for naps and wake intervals. Taking Cara Babies supplies a second six-month comparison and an alternative two-nap example. These sources can disagree; we record that difference.
Feeding and safe sleep
CDC supplies responsive feeding, complementary-food and milk-transition guidance. AAP/HealthyChildren supplies formula milestones and infant safe-sleep recommendations.
Checklists and local policy
NHS, Gateshead and Hull maternity guidance inform original packing checklists. What a hospital provides varies, and a cited local rule is identified as local.

A few little questions.
Is Baby Day Plan medical advice?
It provides educational examples. Follow your child’s pediatrician and feeding or growth instructions.
Are these exact times a target for every child?
The deterministic times illustrate a day; they do not measure your child or prescribe an outcome.
Where can I check the evidence?
The source register, each page’s source links and the methodology explain what is a recommendation, typical example or model choice.
Does a night block mean no feeds?
Rest opportunities include feeding and comfort breaks. Respond to cues and follow the clinician’s overnight guidance.
